Attend or not?

We will have a long holiday break this coming August month. Hubby already planned some places for us to spend the long break. He even planned to overnight at our new house. By the way, our new house now quite furnished with some furniture like sofa, dining table and chair, cooking rack and some mattress for us. so if we wish to overnight there should not be a problem now. Just that I have to mop and clean the floor each time visit. Well, I am glad to do the job as it is MY HOUSE! I have 100% control over the house; of course I am willing to do everything for it, right?
Too bad, last week we received a wedding invitation from my uncle. Opps, I shouldn’t say it is bad hor, after all it is a wedding, I should say something nice about it. The wedding date fall on one of the long break and my uncle invited all of us to attend the dinner party. Oh no, how am I going to deal with this? My uncle stays in another state from us, which mean we will have to drive approximately 150km just to attend the dinner party. And we are going to spend money for the wedding gift (red packet) as well as the petrol cost too. My hubby reluctant to go after he knows he is going to spend for all these expenses. Perhaps I will just send over my wedding gift to him and will not personally attend the wedding ceremony. Am I bad? Hehe…bad time now, should save some money too!
