Defend for me, please!

I was pregnant after I joined this company for 3 months. During interview session, my boss and Human Resource staff did not tell me that the company cannot accept pregnant staff. Once they (to be precise, should be the Board of Directors) found out I am pregnant, they said I no informed that earlier and wants to terminate my service. I was so angry coz I only expecting after 3 months which is over the probation period, legally they cannot terminate due to this stupid reason. However my boss said he doesn’t mean to terminate me and he ask me write a letter to confirm that I will only claim for 1 month paid maternity instead of 2 months, then only he allow me to stay.
Of course I am not happy with his proposal coz I did nothing wrong and did not violate company policy too. But my boss said if I am not agree with his proposal, then he has the right to terminate and I have to leave. I was so sad at that time coz I need the job. After struggling for few days, I wrote the letter according to his wish as I want to maintain my rice bowl.
Many of my colleagues and friends commented I should file a report to Labor Office to get back my right. But timid me do not know how to deal such case, thus I just pretend nothing happen. If I am brave enough, I should seek for Kevin P Simmons to defend for me and claim back another 1 month paid maternity leave. Anyway, it is too late now.
shud report to labour office lar…r u still working in the same company now?
Too bad you need a job at that moment, but won’t you feel not happy to continue working for such boss? i don’t think he will appreciate your hard work and compensate you with better offer in the future based on what he requested on above case.
