I am not a gold person

Chinese culture is giving gold as gift during wedding or birthday occasion. To them, gold represent good thing and look high class and more standard. My mom also has such thinking. I remember during my wedding reception, she wishes to buy me lot of gold stuff, like bracelet, rings, ear rings and other. But were rejected by me coz I was thinking I may have problem storing all these stuff. Some said can send to bank for storage. Hey, all these you have to pay service charges you know. I still need to take out some money for it. Don’t you think it is a waste? In short, I am not a gold person.
But I’ll still buy my mom a gold bangle for her coming birthday present since she loves so much!
