I want to go Europe again!

I use to travel a lot before marriage, together with my boyfriend (now my hubby). Not that we have plenty of money but we keep a portion out from our monthly salary and keep it under travel fund. When the amount sufficient to go for certain travel package, then we will just book, pack and go. Hehe….that’s the benefit of being single ya!
Most of the time we go travel by car but occasionally we will take bus if hubby not familiar with the route. Then when reach destination only we rent a car or hire local guide to assist us. Anyway we truly enjoy our travel at that time.
With the arrival of first kid, we hardly make a trip to anywhere. Hubby feels that we should not let a kid tie up our freedom. So he planned a Europe trip for me in year 2005, with condition: don’t bring along the kid. At first I make a contest coz I feel guilty if leave the kid with in law while me go for holiday. But after long explanations from hubby, I accept his suggestion. According to him, it is not advisable to bring little baby abroad as we would not know whether she can adjust to the environment or not; plus need to do lot of packing for her and we may not enjoy the trip. Whatever it is, that is the excuse from hubby.
We selected a luxury tour package from KL travel agent. The package not cheap coz we go during peak season. It’s winter time in Europe, so need to get ready comfortable winter clothing, quality walking boots, medicine for emergency use and some dried food in case we need them. We try to minimize our luggage volume as we need to spare some space for our shopping loots later.
Overall it is worth trip for us we enjoy the trip very much and it is a memorable trip for us too. Will I revisit Europe again? Hehe…..YES!
This post brought back some memories!
I remember the first time we decided to take our little HouseMonster on a trip. It was only a local DAY out… but still. We had to make sure that we pack everything under the sun for a hiking trip up the Table Mountain, South Africa. It is amazing with a little one how things are! Our HouseMonster won’t fly, so we had to (and even ow) think about whether to rent a car or not! Walking boots for us (and her) and water, and hiking gear (strollers etc)… In the end we did not go, it turned out to be more of a hassle.
The next trip we did was to Disneyland Paris! THAT she loved. Going by train worked out well! And like you, we spared no cost on the travel package! hehehehe
I do miss the days though when we could just grab a backpack, a outdoors jacket and go off in the rain (would love to say sunset but in winter that don’t happen here in London!) Alas… those were the days!
