Shall I try tattoos?

I ever asked my hubby that if one day I do some tattoos designs onto my body, will my kids follow me when they enter teenager time. Hubby said I can do at hidden place at breast, shoulder or hip, so that they will not see it and will not follow my steps too! Good idea!
I saw lots of beautiful tattoos designs at Design My Tattoos, really tempted me to try it at my hip. But I wonder will I feel pain or not during tattoo session? Must ask my friend who had done this first, if too painful, then I might cancel my plan.
