It is call 算盘子 in Chinese. I love this hakka dish very much. It is make from yam, flour and some yummy ingredients. It is very popular in China and Taiwan besides Malaysia. My MIL ever homemade it but not so tasty coz she is not from Hakka!
I ever eat this at Jonker Street, not bad. Too bad, when I re-visited the place, I couldn’t locate the stall anymore. Haiz…..
This dish call as 算盘子 is due to the design of it look like Chinese 算盘, see below image:
