Whose flag?

Look at the picture. Can you tell me this flag belong to which country?
Look familiar, right? Is this Malaysia flag? Hmmm…frankly, in my memory, Malaysia flag doesn’t look like this. Our flag only has 14 red and white stripes, one gold crescent and one. But this flag has 6 x 14 red & white stripes, 6 gold crescent and 6 stars.
Since when our flag has changed to this pattern?If you say we cannot modify our NegaraKu as we like, then can we modify our flag to this pattern or not? I can see lot of this kind of “flag” along the main road or even kampung road.So, shall the authority remove this flag? or leave it there to confuse my kids and next generation? You tell me the answer. Hopefully I will not get caught by posting this pictures here.
FYI, our actually flag should be this one.
