Your Tongue can Tell You About Your Health

Yeah, your tongue can tell everything about your health problem. That’s why our doctor will request us to show him our tongue whenever we pay a visit to him. Usually they will see our tongue that is on top or deep inside our throat, the one “hang” from our gum’s wall…hehe…sorry I don’t know how to describe properly for this location.
Last few weeks I noticed my top of the tongue like having something strange, at least I feel something weird even I did not eat or drink anything. I also feel I have some small dot dot and some hairy feeling at the surface. I am worry coz I suspect something might happen to me. At that time I was taking some antibiotic given by my gynae, I ever suspect perhaps due to the medicine. I stop taking it after 3 days, and slowly those small dot and hairy feeling gone.
Today while I read some health article at MSN.COM concerning tongue, I came across below statement:
Tongue Getting hairy
“The top of the tongue is covered with little projections called filiform papillae,” explains Silverman. “They’re made up of keratin—the same protein that makes up hair, but they’re not really ‘hair.’” And under normal conditions, you wouldn’t even notice them. But certain conditions can cause them to elongate, giving the tongue a “hairy” appearance. Several factors could be responsible for causing the filiform papillae to grow, including a bacterial infection, taking antibiotics, or having a very dry mouth.
